I never met Sharon. But I felt like I had. Sharon joined the BOT Facebook group that Nicky and I set up in 2014. She was an active member of the group, posting updates about her own journey as well as supportive messages to everyone else. Sharon always replied, sending messages of support during difficult times.
In 2007, Sharon was diagnosed with a borderline ovarian tumour (BOT). She was 38 years of age.
In 2013, Sharon had a recurrence but it was no longer a BOT; it was “typical” ovarian cancer.
I just heard that Sharon has passed away.
Sharon posted this in December 2015 and I wanted to share this again now.
She was, without doubt, a courageous woman. Go gently, Sharon.
