I’ve been thinking about setting up a section on my blog for guest contributions for some time.
Recent discussions in online groups have reminded me of the importance of finding spaces where we can share our experiences.
There is currently very little available online or in the mainstream media about our experiences of BOT (and all that comes with it!). This contributes both to our sense of feeling isolated and to ongoing misunderstanding of our diagnosis by others: that’s what prompted me to start my blog when I was diagnosed in July 2014.
Whilst I’ve not always found the blogging easy [more on that coming soon], I’ve found it incredibly helpful, and I’d like to support others who would like to share their experiences.
I’d love to share your story and your experiences – of a borderline ovarian tumour diagnosis, on making decisions around treatment, and/or your experiences of surgical menopause. NB: re. experiences of surgical menopause – this isn’t limited only to ladies with a BOT diagnosis!
I will publish them under a Creative Commons licence which means that the blogs can be re-posted, so long as they are correctly credited and are not-for-profit [as is the case across my blog].
You can, of course, be published anonymously if you would prefer.
Please be in touch if you would like to contribute at blog post!
